De Erasmusprijs wordt jaarlijks toegekend aan een persoon of instelling die een voor Europa buitengewoon belangrijke bijdrage heeft geleverd op cultureel, sociaal of sociaal-wetenschappelijk terrein.
De prijsuitreiking zal plaatsvinden in november in het Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam.
Verder kent de Stichting Praemium Erasmianum jaarlijks maximaal vijf studieprijzen toe aan jonge wetenschappelijke onderzoekers die een uitzonderlijke dissertatie hebben voltooid op het gebied van de geestes- en maatschappijwetenschappen.
The Erasmus Prize is awarded annually to a person or institution that has made an exceptionally important contribution to European culture, society or social science.
