The Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra presents a remarkable and convincing proof of the fact that a well thought-out music education can work wonders. This orchestra, consisting of secundary school pupils is a product of El Sistema, the innovating music programme of Venezuela. Their performance is a captivating event and they play at an incredibly high level. An extra festive concert, because the founder of El Sistema, Jose Antonio Abreu, is awarded with the Erasmus Prize 2010.
