The second International Forum of the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation met on Tuesday, 10 December 1996 in the hotel The Grand in Amsterdam.

1998 40 years Erasmus Prize
In 1998 the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation celebrated its 40th anniversary with the Festival of Contrasts.

1999 Activities
In connection with the presentation of the Erasmus Prize 1999 for Human Rights to Mary Robinson the Foundation Praemium Erasmianum organised a forum debate, a round table, a documentary film evening and a seminar gender studies.

2000 Activities - All that dance!
Within the framework of the presentation of the Erasmus Prize 2000 to Hans van Manen a world dance festival took place on Sunday 5 November 2000 in the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam.

2000 Activities - Festival 's-Hertogenbosch
The city of 's-Hertogenbosch organised a festival with and around the Erasmus laureate Hans van Manen and former prize winners.
